Austrian defense manufacturer STI Steyr is positioning its LMV-X and LTV-X platforms for one of the country’s largest military vehicle acquisition programs. The modular vehicle family is designed to support multiple operational roles using a common architecture, simplifying logistics, reducing lifecycle costs, and enabling future upgrades for communications, sensors, electronic warfare, and counter-drone technologies. If selected, the program would strengthen Austria’s domestic defense industry through local manufacturing, industrial investment, and expanded cooperation with national suppliers while supporting broader European defense modernization objectives.
