BAE Systems is broadening its industrial partnership with Poland to establish comprehensive sustainment capabilities for the M88A2 Hercules armored recovery vehicle. The cooperation includes maintenance, overhaul, logistics support, and the potential future production of selected vehicle components through collaboration with leading Polish defense manufacturers. Designed to recover heavily damaged main battle tanks under combat conditions, the M88A2 plays a critical role in armored force survivability by restoring disabled vehicles to operational service. The initiative enhances Poland’s sovereign maintenance infrastructure while supporting long-term fleet readiness, technology transfer, and increased industrial participation within NATO’s expanding armored modernization efforts.
