L3Harris Technologies has received additional orders worth 84 million dollars to supply Falcon AN/PRC-158C software-defined gateway manpack radios supporting the US Army’s Next Generation Command and Control modernization initiative. The communications systems provide secure voice and data connectivity across multiple waveforms, enabling seamless interoperability between sensors, command centers, and combat units operating across complex battlespaces. Featuring dual-channel architecture and broad frequency coverage extending from 30 to 2,500 megahertz, the portable radios support beyond-line-of-sight communications while enhancing network resilience and digital battlefield integration. The procurement builds upon previous orders and reinforces the Falcon platform’s growing role as a core communications component within the Army’s evolving command-and-control architecture. By improving real-time information exchange between commanders and frontline forces, the radios contribute to faster decision-making, greater operational coordination, and enhanced mission effectiveness across multi-domain operations.
