India’s Ministry of Defence has signed a contract worth 4.4 billion rupees ($46 million) with Bengaluru-based Accord Software and Systems for the supply of 20 Enhanced Capability Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) jammers to the Indian Navy. The systems are designed to disrupt and deceive enemy navigation and tracking systems by jamming or spoofing satellite signals. With a mandated domestic content level of at least 75 percent, the acquisition supports India’s self-reliance objectives while enhancing naval protection in contested maritime environments. The procurement forms part of broader modernization efforts focused on electronic warfare, precision weapons, and indigenous defense technologies.
