BAE Systems has begun production and initial deliveries of its NavGuide GPS receiver, a modern replacement for the widely used Defense Advanced GPS Receiver (DAGR). Introduced in 2023, the NavGuide is designed to provide secure positioning, navigation, and timing capabilities across various platforms, including vehicles, handheld devices, and sensors. The system incorporates advanced protection against jamming and spoofing, addressing modern electronic warfare threats. It also features an intuitive interface with mapping and navigation tools. The receiver can be integrated into existing DAGR-compatible systems with minimal effort, often requiring less than two minutes for installation. The DAGR, which has been in service since 2004, was widely adopted across global militaries, with over 650,000 units produced. The NavGuide builds on this legacy by offering enhanced performance and security features tailored to current operational requirements.
