Dynamatic Technologies is expanding its footprint in the intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance domain by developing an indigenous stabilised electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) payload. The system, designed as a multi-axis gimbal-stabilised sensor turret, is expected to provide high-quality imaging even under challenging flight conditions such as turbulence and rapid manoeuvres. With a claimed detection range of up to 20 kilometres, the payload is positioned within the medium-to-long-range ISR category and could be deployed across UAVs, helicopters, and light surveillance aircraft. The system is likely to integrate high-resolution day cameras, advanced thermal imaging sensors, and long-range optics, with potential for laser designation capabilities. This move aligns with India’s push for indigenous defence technologies while allowing Dynamatic to transition into higher-value mission systems and reduce reliance on imported ISR payloads.
