HII has been selected as one of 12 companies awarded positions on the Advanced Technology Support Program V, a 10-year multiple-award contract valued at $25.4 billion. Managed by the Defense Microelectronics Activity, ATSP5 provides the US Department of Defense and other federal agencies with access to advanced engineering, microelectronics, prototyping, and modernization services. The program addresses critical challenges such as system obsolescence, rapid technology insertion, and sustainment of legacy platforms. HII’s role includes system- and component-level engineering, reverse engineering, microelectronics assurance, and the re-deployment of obsolete systems using model-based technical approaches. ATSP5 streamlines acquisition by allowing agencies to rapidly engage pre-qualified industry partners, accelerating delivery timelines and reducing procurement complexity. The scope spans hardware and software development, simulation, integration, testing, and limited production, with modular acquisition enabling phased capability upgrades.
