Leidos has secured a contract valued at 454.9 million dollars to modernize the Cloud One infrastructure used by the United States Air Force. Cloud One is a secure platform that hosts and manages digital applications supporting military operations. Under the agreement, Leidos will cooperate with leading cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The project focuses on enhancing cybersecurity safeguards, increasing automation in system management, and simplifying the operation of cloud environments across the air force. By upgrading the platform, the service aims to accelerate the transition of applications and operational data into cloud infrastructure while protecting sensitive mission systems. The initiative will also make it easier for military personnel to access digital tools required for modern operations and improve coordination between different technical units managing cloud services. The modernization effort forms part of the company’s NorthStar 2030 strategy, which seeks to expand Leidos’ role in major technology transformation and cybersecurity programs for government agencies. The contract follows several recent digital initiatives involving the company. Recently, Leidos partnered with RegScale to integrate tools that automate compliance monitoring across US defense networks. In 2025, the firm collaborated with VML to develop the Imperium artificial intelligence platform designed to support information operations and strategic communications analysis. Earlier that year, the company was also awarded an 87-million-dollar contract from the NATO Communications and Information Agency to create a centralized private cloud network that would enhance digital scalability and cyber resilience across NATO systems.
