The second AN/SPY-7(V)1 radar shipset for Japan’s ASEV program has been supplied by Lockheed Martin. The system will first be fully integrated and tested at the company’s facilities before being transported to Japan. This process helps reduce integration challenges and ensures timely deployment. The shipment comes after the first radar package delivered in June 2025 and contributes to the ships’ scheduled entry into service in 2027 and 2028.
