Under a $30 million agreement, BAE Systems will enhance the Navy’s AN/APX-123A(V) transponder used in IFF applications.
The system will be integrated across Navy platforms such as unmanned systems, helicopters, and combat aircraft.
Its upgrade will improve identification, targeting coordination, and aircraft control within joint defense networks.
Production and delivery are being handled at BAE sites in New York and Texas, with completion expected by 2027.
