Curtiss-Wright’s Defense Solutions Division announced today it has secured a $7.7 million firm-fixed-price IDIQ contract from Tyonek Aircraft Overhaul, LLC, a subsidiary of Tyonek Services Group, Inc. and Tyonek Native Corporation. Under this agreement, Curtiss-Wright will supply a MIL-STD-1553 data communications version of its Fortress™ combined cockpit voice recorder (CVR) and flight data recorder (FDR) for integration into the U.S. Coast Guard’s MH-65E Dolphin and MH-60T Jayhawk helicopters. The contract includes a one-year base term with an option to extend for an additional four years.
Designed specifically for military fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft, the Fortress recorder’s capacity to scale and capture evolving data requirements has reinforced Curtiss-Wright’s position as a leading provider of modern flight recording solutions.
