Exail has been chosen by Naval Group to supply navigation systems for the Hellenic Navy’s Defense and Intervention Frigates (FDI). The Marins Inertial Navigation System (INS), Netans Data Distribution Unit (DDU), and Gecdis-W WECDIS (Warship Electronic Chart Display and Information System) are all incorporated into the frigates’ sophisticated cybersecure digital architecture, along with interoperable technologies that are intended to function flawlessly together.
Exail supplies cutting-edge, interoperable navigation systems to the Hellenic Navy’s next-generation FDI frigate, improving its performance and cyber resilience in high-threat scenarios.
The FDI frigates are a novel class of multi-role naval warships that can carry out a variety of tasks, such as anti-air, anti-surface, anti-submarine warfare, and special operations assistance. These frigates, which are outfitted with cutting-edge combat technologies, have a fully integrated and cyber-resilient digital infrastructure that allows them to function well in challenging and contested situations. For accurate navigation, the Marins INS offers precise, high-performance inertial sensing.
The Netans DDU provides cybersecure, dependable, and effective data sharing between the ship’s systems, protecting operational integrity even in hostile circumstances.
In accordance with the most recent STANAG standards, the Gecdis-W WECDIS provides cutting-edge tactical electronic chart display and navigation capabilities.
