The US Army is moving toward testing a Modular Mission Payload (MMP)—a new electronic warfare kit designed for plug-and-play adaptability across multiple platforms. Set to begin prototyping in 2026, the project falls under the Army Transformation Initiative, which seeks to unify platforms and software under a standardized framework. According to Army officials, the program is in its early development phase, with details on production quantities still under review. The focus in the coming years will be to refine requirements and determine where these EW kits fit best in Army formations.
