The US Army’s xTech Program selected six winners in its AI Grand Challenge, distributing $2 million in one of its largest prize pools. The competition showcased AI tools designed to clean, verify, and optimize data to enhance efficiency and military system performance. Ozni AI secured first place with its COMbINE engine, while PeopleTec, Snorkel AI, Latent AI, Exia Labs, and R-DEX Systems also earned prizes ranging from $25,000 to $500,000, after earlier receiving $35,000 each to refine prototypes. Winners will now join a “Plug and Play” accelerator for mentorship and potential integration into Army programs. The initiative supports the Army’s AI Implementation Plan to scale AI across operations. Since 2018, xTech has hosted 45 contests, awarding over $30 million.
