Rheinmetall UK has been contracted to integrate its Trailblazer Driver Vision and Local Situation Awareness System onto the British Army’s upgraded M270 A2 MLRS platforms. Prototypes are expected in early 2026, followed by full production later that year. Trailblazer enhances crew effectiveness by combining day, thermal, and fused imagery to improve navigation, obstacle avoidance, and threat detection in degraded visibility. Already fielded on multiple platforms, the system supports commonality across the British Army’s armored fleet.
