Raytheon has secured its largest SharpSight radar contract to date after Blue Raven placed an order for 120 surveillance radar systems covering production and sustainment support. Under the agreement, Blue Raven, formerly known as Crestwood Technology Group, will oversee global resale and distribution activities for the software-defined multi-domain radar platform. Derived from Raytheon’s HISAR and SeaVue radar technologies, SharpSight is designed for use on crewed and uncrewed airborne systems supporting missions such as maritime surveillance, border security, anti-surface warfare, search and rescue, and long-range monitoring. The radar’s modular open-architecture design allows easier integration and upgrades across multiple aircraft platforms, including the MQ-9B SeaGuardian UAV.
