Saab has launched the ORP Henryk Zygalski, the second and final ship in Poland’s DELFIN-class signals intelligence program.

Following the July 2025 launch of ORP Jerzy Różycki, both vessels will now be outfitted with mission systems and undergo integration testing prior to sea trials and commissioning. Once operational, they will use electronic intelligence systems to detect, identify, and analyze maritime signals.

Saab is the prime contractor, supplying the mission suites, while Remontowa Shipbuilding S.A. carried out construction and MMC provided design support. Additional integration support will come from Polish defense industry partners.

The ships are scheduled for delivery in 2027 and 2028.

Poland’s defense modernization program also includes Saab A26 submarines under the “Orka” initiative, intended to replace the final Kilo-class submarine, and a strategic collaboration with WB Group established in September 2025 to explore joint industrial opportunities in unmanned naval platforms, border security, and related technologies.
