BDL, in collaboration with NSTL, has successfully produced India’s first advanced heavyweight torpedo with wire-guided fiber-optic control and acoustic homing technology. Designed for operational and combat use, it significantly enhances submarine engagement precision. The system represents a major leap in indigenous defence manufacturing, boosting underwater strike capability and placing India in an elite group of countries with such advanced torpedo production expertise under the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
