Naval Group has strengthened its strategic partnership with Metlen through a new agreement focused on advancing cooperation in naval defense programs. The memorandum, signed in Volos, underscores efforts to integrate Metlen more deeply into Naval Group’s supply chain as a key contributor to submarine and surface vessel initiatives. The collaboration extends existing engagements with the French and Greek armed forces, where Metlen already plays a manufacturing role. Both firms are also looking beyond national contracts, aiming to promote their joint expertise in global markets. Their partnership originated from the FDI frigate program launched in 2022, which brought together dozens of Greek companies under a localized industrial participation model. This initiative significantly strengthened Greece’s defense manufacturing ecosystem. Metlen has since accelerated its expansion through its subsidiary M Technologies, planning a large industrial hub with multiple facilities to support European defense demands. The agreement highlights a shared commitment to industrial growth, technology transfer, and long-term collaboration across naval platforms.
