The first flight of the French Navy’s Falcon 2000LXS Albatros maritime surveillance and intervention plane took place at the Bordeaux-Mérignac airport. Paris awarded local defense manufacturer Dassault Aviation up to 12 aircraft in 2020 to replace the military’s aging Falcon 50 Surmar and Falcon 200 Guardian aerial patrol fleets.
