De Haas Shipyards has been given a contract to construct 13 ships to replace the Netherlands Armed Forces’ Fast Raiding Interception and Special Forces Craft (FRISC). The new boats will have better weapons compatibility, communication systems, and sensors than the old ones. The fleet will also have modern hulls and seats to lessen the physical burden on personnel while working in harsh conditions, and it will be more difficult for enemy trackers to identify.
