The fourth Yarmook-class offshore patrol vessel (OPV), built by Damen, has been delivered to the Pakistan Navy in Constanta, Romania. The Dutch shipyard was granted the contract to construct the PNS Yamama in 2020; its assembly took place two years later, and its launch was scheduled for 2024. When it is put into service, the platform will patrol Islamabad’s international commerce routes and carry out maritime security duties, such as anti-piracy and other threats.
