EDGE Group, the UAE’s top defense manufacturer, will build eight Falaj-3 patrol vessels for Kuwait, marking a major $2.45 billion arms contract between two GCC allies.
The contract includes vessel development, sea readiness testing, and in-service operational support. EDGE noted the scale and strategic importance of this defense pact in securing Gulf maritime stability.
Given their shared coastal vulnerabilities, Kuwait previously turned to EDGE for fleet refurbishment and naval training programs, laying the groundwork for this broader acquisition deal.
