The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) has given Saab a contract to supply 22 more CB90 Next Generation battle boats. The order’s overall worth is approximately SEK 900 million.
This order greatly increases Sweden’s naval capacity. Mats Wicksell, head of Saab’s Kockum business sector, said, We are proud that Saab’s combat boats continue to contribute to Sweden’s defense.
The rapid, all-aluminum CB90 NG, built by Saab’s Docksta shipyard, is able to easily carry a large number of soldiers and cargo across both shallow and open seas, all while maintaining exceptional speed and agility. Because of its lightweight polyethylene lining and safety glass, this ship offers outstanding ballistic and CBRN protection.
