The US Navy has awarded Arcfield a follow-on contract worth $75 million to continue engineering and technical support for submarine combat control systems, including the AN/BYG-1 platform. The program supports combat system integration, modernization, cybersecurity, and sustainment for both current and future submarine fleets. Developed through a joint US-Australian effort, the AN/BYG-1 combines sensor fusion, targeting, and weapons management capabilities while using modular commercial hardware to simplify upgrades across a submarine’s operational life. The system may also become part of the future SSN-AUKUS attack submarine program.
