The Finnish Navy has achieved another milestone in its naval modernization program with the launch of the second Pohjanmaa-class corvette. Designed for operations in the demanding Baltic Sea environment, the new warships will provide enhanced anti-ship, anti-submarine, and air-defense capabilities. Equipped with advanced missiles, torpedoes, electronic warfare systems, and naval guns, the class will form the backbone of Finland’s future surface fleet. Construction of all four ships is now progressing simultaneously, supporting plans for operational service later this decade.
