The US State Department has approved a potential $185-million foreign military sale to Ukraine covering Class IX spare parts and associated logistics support for previously supplied equipment. The package aims to improve sustainment, operational readiness, and repair turnaround times for US-provided vehicles and weapons systems. According to the Defense Security Cooperation Agency, the sale aligns with US foreign policy objectives by reinforcing a key European security partner. The transaction requires no additional US personnel deployment and is not expected to alter the regional military balance. It follows multiple major 2025 approvals, including Patriot sustainment packages and precision munition sales.
