Finnish defense company Patria has signed cooperation agreements with several Czech state-owned defense institutions as Prague advances plans to procure a new fleet of 8×8 armored vehicles. The partnerships involve the Military Technical Institute, the Military Research Institute, and VOP CZ, and are intended to expand local industrial participation in development, production, and sustainment activities if Patria’s proposal is selected. The Czech Republic plans to replace its aging Pandur II fleet with more than 250 new armored vehicles, with deliveries expected from 2029 onward. Patria is offering a localized version of its AMV XP 8×8 platform tailored to Czech operational and NATO requirements.
