BAE Systems has secured a $195-million contract from the US Marine Corps to produce 30 additional Amphibious Combat Vehicle-30 (ACV-30) variants, raising total ACV-30 orders under the current contract to more than 150 vehicles. Equipped with a 30mm cannon, the ACV-30 offers increased lethality compared to earlier versions while maintaining amphibious and land mobility. Production will take place in Pennsylvania and South Carolina, with turret systems supplied by Kongsberg. The program is central to the Marine Corps’ effort to replace aging legacy amphibious vehicles with a modern platform emphasizing protection, mobility, and adaptability for distributed maritime operations.
