Pit-Radwar, a state-owned Polish defense company, has presented the SA-35MM, a very short-range air defense system utilizing a 35mm cannon and programmable airburst ammunition. The system’s projectiles are programmed to detonate at the ideal moment, enabling efficient interception of targets like drones. This technology means only seven airburst rounds are needed to achieve a 97% hit rate, compared to 24 conventional rounds for a 99% chance.
