Rheinmetall has confirmed a contract to supply 14 additional Leopard 2A4 main battle tanks (MBTs) to the Czech Republic, following an agreement signed by Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH CEO Björn Bernhard and Lubor Koudelka, Director General of the Armaments and Acquisition Division at the Czech Ministry of Defence. Valued at EUR 161 million, the deal includes fully refurbished MBTs—primarily sourced from Swiss inventories—along with ammunition and logistics support. All tanks will be upgraded to meet Czech-specific operational requirements, with deliveries scheduled to be completed by the end of 2026.
