Patria and Spain’s GDELS-Santa Barbara Sistemas have teamed up to assemble ASCOD infantry fighting vehicles in Latvia. Production will take place at Patria’s Valmiera plant, managed under the Defence Partnership Latvia venture alongside Latvian firm Unitruck. The announcement comes as Patria marks five years in Latvia and celebrates the first year of DPL operations. The facility, already producing 6×6 armored vehicles, is now gearing up to deliver its first ASCOD units in mid-2026.
