Denmark has selected Patria, a Finnish defense manufacturer, to supply 129 CAVS 6×6 armored vehicles, with delivery starting this year. These vehicles will support training and deployment beginning in 2026. The order came after Denmark fully committed to the multinational CAVS program, joining Finland, Latvia, Sweden, and Germany through the signing of final agreements covering R&D, a framework contract, and lifecycle management. Initially joining via a technical agreement in April, Denmark will use the CAVS platforms in various support roles for both infantry and engineering forces. The vehicles—developed collaboratively through the program—are based on Patria’s proven 6×6 model, combining affordability with operational flexibility and STANAG level 2 protection. The program, launched in 2020, aims to standardize 6×6 armored systems among allied forces. So far, Patria has received nearly 1,000 orders from partner nations and delivered over 200.
