Praktika of Ukraine has entered a strategic manufacturing partnership with Spain’s Tecnove and Escribano Mechanical & Engineering to establish joint production of armored vehicles inside Spain. The cooperation spans multipurpose armored vehicles, fire-support systems, specialized variants such as EW platforms, ambulances, command vehicles, and non-military armored equipment for mine-clearance work and safe explosive transport. This is the first time Praktika and the League of Defense Enterprises of Ukraine have launched a co-production project with European partners within the EU. The MoU seeks to combine the companies’ design, engineering, and automotive manufacturing competencies to produce armored platforms for European users, Ukraine, and additional partner states. Production will be centered at Tecnove’s modern 25,000 m² industrial complex in Herencia, Madrid. The facility will assemble vehicles using Ukrainian-manufactured components, delivering systems destined for both Ukrainian forces and Spanish requirements. For Ukraine’s defense sector, the partnership embeds national technologies into EU production ecosystems, boosts serial manufacturing capacity while retaining critical skills domestically, and increases the involvement of Ukrainian private manufacturers in NATO- and EU-related initiatives.
