The Ratel IFV program reflects Poland’s emphasis on battlefield survivability and fleet commonality. Built on the Borsuk lineage, the heavy IFV combines scalable protection with a powerful engine and standardized turret system. Its design allows future integration of active protection and mission-specific equipment, aligning with Poland’s plan to field a large, flexible armored force. As part of a wider procurement of roughly 1,400 armored platforms, Ratel underscores Warsaw’s intent to prepare for high-intensity conflict scenarios.
