The Slovak Armed Forces have finalized the acquisition of Patria AMV XP ambulance vehicles through a defense cooperation agreement with Finland. The procurement forms part of a broader modernization package featuring combat and command variants alongside extensive support services. Beyond supplying advanced armored vehicles, the arrangement emphasizes industrial cooperation through technology transfer and local production capabilities. The highly mobile 8×8 AMV XP platform offers strong protection against ballistic threats, mines, and improvised explosive devices while delivering enhanced operational flexibility for both battlefield support and medical evacuation missions.
