The US Army has introduced a new fire control software package designed to improve the effectiveness of vehicle-mounted weapons against moving drones. Derived from technologies developed for the Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft program, the software continuously processes onboard sensor data to maintain targeting accuracy while both the vehicle and target are in motion. Built on an open-systems architecture, the solution enables rapid integration of future upgrades and capabilities. The advancement is intended to strengthen counter-drone operations by providing mobile units with more reliable engagement performance against increasingly agile aerial threats.
