Eurofighter and NETMA have agreed to develop and certify an Aerodynamic Modification Kit for the Typhoon, designed to streamline integration of new weapons and external stores. The kit includes structural changes such as leading-edge extensions and enlarged control surfaces, along with software updates. These enhancements are expected to improve agility, lift, and payload capacity, enabling integration of systems like anti-radiation missiles and advanced strike weapons. Germany plans to field Taurus Neo cruise missiles and GBU-54 bombs on upgraded jets, while the SEAD-focused Eurofighter EK will incorporate AGM-88E missiles by the end of the decade.
