The UK’s defense procurement agency has awarded Leonardo UK a long-term contract to manage and supply critical aircraft consumables across the nation’s fixed-wing and rotary-wing fleets. Valued at £27 million initially, the agreement includes extension options that could raise its total worth significantly. The company will oversee forecasting, procurement, stock management, and obsolescence planning while supporting aircraft such as Typhoon jets, Chinook helicopters, and military transport fleets. By centralizing consumable-spares management at the depot level, the arrangement aims to streamline logistics, improve responsiveness, and ensure sustained operational readiness for UK military aviation assets.
