The US has partnered with to integrate the company’s Hivemind autonomy software into the Low-Cost Uncrewed Combat System (LUCAS) loitering munition. Developed for the Pentagon, the LUCAS platform is intended to mirror the capabilities of the Iranian-made Shahed attack drone while providing a low-cost, mass-deployable strike solution. Hivemind will function as the drone’s autonomous onboard pilot, enabling coordinated swarm operations, navigation, and mission execution in contested or signal-denied environments. The integration allows multiple drones to operate cooperatively while requiring only a single human operator, supporting future battlefield concepts centered on scalable autonomous combat systems.
