The US Air Force’s Collaborative Combat Aircraft initiative has taken another step forward after General Atomics demonstrated communication and control links between an F-35 fighter and the MQ-20 Avenger drone. The test showcased how manned aircraft could coordinate with autonomous unmanned systems using advanced tactical data links and autonomy software.
