The US State Department has approved a potential $235.9-million foreign military sale to Kuwait covering long-term sustainment support for its KC-130J transport aircraft fleet. The package includes maintenance services, spare and repair parts, software support, technical documentation, training, logistics assistance, and engineering services over a five-year period. According to US officials, the sale is intended to ensure the continued operational readiness of Kuwait’s aircraft while providing flexibility for future sustainment requirements. Major contractors involved include V2X, Aviation Training Consulting, CAE USA, Dowty, and Rolls-Royce, with no additional US personnel expected to be deployed to support the agreement.
