has announced plans to establish a new A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport conversion facility in Seville, Spain, as part of efforts to increase global military tanker production capacity. The center will retrofit commercial A330 aircraft into military tanker and transport configurations while also handling maintenance, repair, overhaul, and upgrade work for existing platforms. Airbus expects the facility to become operational by 2027, increasing annual A330 conversion output from five to seven aircraft. The project is anticipated to generate around 200 direct and 400 indirect jobs while supporting industrial upgrades and workforce training initiatives in the region. The announcement follows Italy’s recent order for six A330 MRTT aircraft valued at approximately $1.6 billion.
