Norway and the United Kingdom have signed a cooperation agreement allowing British military helicopters to operate from Norwegian naval vessels and shore installations. The arrangement strengthens maritime interoperability while compensating for Norway’s current shortage of shipborne helicopters. Signed by senior naval leaders from both countries, the pact builds on earlier defense agreements and operational cooperation demonstrated during Operation Highmast in 2025. The agreement will support future joint exercises, including Cold Response 26, enhancing allied readiness in Arctic and North Atlantic environments.
