A new autonomous helicopter concept called the R66 TURBINETRUCK is being developed by Sikorsky in collaboration with Robinson Helicopter Company. The design removes the cockpit and crew stations, creating additional internal space for cargo transport. Its modular structure allows the aircraft to be adapted for various missions through software upgrades and configuration changes. The helicopter also includes a large cargo compartment and a clamshell loading door that simplifies the movement of supplies during military logistics operations.
