The Tejas Mk2 fighter is being developed as a next-generation medium-weight aircraft intended to strengthen India’s air combat capability. Designed with greater endurance and improved performance, the aircraft incorporates an elongated fuselage that allows it to carry more fuel and advanced avionics systems. Its design also includes distinctive canards that improve agility and aerodynamic efficiency during demanding maneuvers. Advanced composite materials play a major role in the aircraft’s construction, helping reduce weight while increasing durability and resistance to structural fatigue. As development progresses, the Tejas Mk2 is expected to serve as an important bridge between current fighters and future advanced combat aircraft programs in India.
