The Indian Air Force is working to upgrade its existing bombs into precision-guided weapons under the ADITI initiative. The plan involves adding propulsion and guidance kits to extend range beyond 200 kilometers. These upgraded bombs will use advanced sensors for accurate targeting, even without GPS support. Designed to integrate with current aircraft systems, they offer a practical and cost-effective solution for modern combat needs. The focus on accuracy, ease of use, and long service life ensures improved operational efficiency and effectiveness.
