V2X has secured a US Navy contract to integrate the Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures system onto Marine Corps KC-130J tanker and transport aircraft. The LAIRCM system is designed to detect incoming infrared-guided missiles and automatically deploy defensive countermeasures to protect the aircraft during operations. The KC-130J fleet supports aerial refueling, cargo transport, troop movement, medical evacuation, and expeditionary missions for the US Marine Corps. Integration work will be conducted at V2X’s Florida facility, which includes extensive manufacturing and aircraft testing infrastructure.
