The United States has approved a $250 million training and support package for Australia’s F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler aircraft, strengthening one of Washington’s closest defense partnerships in the Indo-Pacific. The program focuses on pilot instruction, maintenance training, logistics, and technical assistance rather than the delivery of new aircraft. By improving operational readiness and interoperability, the package helps ensure Australia’s advanced combat and electronic warfare fleets remain capable of supporting regional security missions alongside US and allied forces while continuing modernization with next-generation electronic attack technologies.
