Morocco has ordered 10 H225M helicopters from Airbus for combat search and rescue, replacing its aging Puma fleet. The contract includes support services, though cost and delivery timelines remain undisclosed. The helicopters will feature a double hoist, searchlight, Safran Euroflir 410 EO system, machine guns, and an EW self-protection suite. Powered by twin Safran Makila 2A1 engines, the H225M reaches 324 km/h, cruises at 262 km/h, and offers a range of up to 1,253 km with extended tanks. It supports special operations, tactical transport, medevac missions, and naval operations with full night-vision and all-weather capability. The helicopter accommodates up to 31 personnel with an 11-ton maximum takeoff weight.
